History
WELCOME TO CRAPO LTD
We are a family-owned business located in Saint Anthony, Idaho. Driven by a passion for trucking and the entrepreneurial spirit George Crapo, the oldest of the five Crapo brothers, decided to purchase his first bobtail truck in 1964. Hauling potatoes, grain and any commodity he could he began to make a name for himself in the industry. Soon after, George and his brother Rich each purchased a 1969 GMC truck and started hauling for Roger Brothers a potato processing plant in Idaho Falls.
Within a few years the remainder of the brothers Blair, Bruce, and David were all graduated from high school and chasing their dream as farmers and truckers. As the farm and trucking business continued to grow the brothers decided if they wanted to continue to grow, they needed to work together. A value that has been passed on to each of the brothers' children and grandchildren who continue to help in the businesses.
In July of 1989 the brothers were presented with an opportunity to purchase 5 trucks from Mountain West Products. The brothers along with Georges two oldest sons Ryan, and Judd came to an agreement with Mountain West and Crapo LTD was born. David the youngest of the five brothers shifted from full time farming to managing the fleet of trucks. Through hard work, integrity, and some of the best employees in the business the fleet has grown from 5 trucks to over 40. We now service locations all over the Western United States and Parts of Canada.
