Our

Drivers

When it comes to Crapo's great work culture, don't just take our word for it. Here are some of our drivers and how they feel about being apart of the Crapo team.

ED SKIDMORE

I was working for Mountain West when Crapo’s purchased their trucks in 1989. So, I began working driving the same truck I was already driving. It was the best day of my life. Since then, I’ve been with the company for 33 plus years. Crapo’s have been a great family to work for. You’re more than just a number, you are a person with a name. If you’re looking for more than just a job but a great place to work, I would highly recommend this company.

BRET BRADSHAW

I have always felt like such an integral part of the team. I have been treated with respect and received so much gratefulness for a job well done from the top down. I left the company at one point to work in the oil fields. In leaving I was treated so well with no ill feelings towards me because they wanted the best for me. After leaving Crapo’s for a very short time, I really wanted to come back as soon as I could. After contacting Crapo’s, I was met with open arms and was immediately back in my own truck doing what I was before. I was very happy they
let me come back and it really meant the world to me.

DANIEL HERNANDEZ

I had a friend that worked for Crapo’s and really liked it, so I decided to come work for Crapo’s as well. When I was hired at Crapo Trucking, I was the first Hispanic driver and was very nervous about it. However, I was treated the same as everyone else from all other drivers to management. That made a huge impression on me. Whenever I was faced with problems from home, I would be told, “Family comes first, head home or do whatever it takes to get your family taken care of, then we can worry about the work.” Because of all of this, I have truly enjoyed being part of a team that feels more like  family.

RYAN JACKSON

I have 41 plus years of service working for Crapo’s. I started helping Crapo’s on the farm operating equipment when I was just 15 years old. I then started driving an old narrow nose Peterbilt at 17 years old, working part time until I turned 21. I then drove full time hauling on the local potato fleet. After which, I ended up going into the regional fleet. I feel as though I am a part of the family, and I am always treated as such.

NOLAN VANDERLINDEN

While working in North Dakota, I reached out to David Crapo about a job. I told him that I needed to finish up my current job for another month or two harvesting potatoes in North Dakota. David told me that it would be fine and that I should take care of my duties and be careful not to burn any bridges. He also told me that when I finished there, there would be a job available for me when I got back if I still wanted it. After that conversation, I was so impressed with his attitude and the way he treated me that I called my current employer in North Dakota and gave my two weeks notice. It also really meant a lot that David was willing to hold a job for me for that long so I wanted to start working for Crapo’s as soon as I could.

DAVID BRADSHAW

I began to work for the Crapo Family in February of 1998. The thing I like the most about working for them, is that they treat you like family. They are always willing to work with you if a medical or family emergency comes up. I have gotten to know some great people through working for Crapo LTD and made some good friends through work. I am so thankful for all that they do for us employees.

JERRY PARK

My father and I were logging in southern Utah during the summer of 1996. That Fall as the season came to an end, I called David Crapo and asked about a driving job for the winter.  The next year we decided not to go back to logging, and I have been with Crapo’s ever since. It has been a long 26-year winter but a good one. David and his brothers have always been great guys to work for and pillars of our local community.

BOYD HOLLIST

I started working on the farm for the Crapo Brothers during the summer of 1989. That fall after the crops were harvested, they put me in a truck hauling potatoes to the local warehouses part time. In the spring of 1991, they put me in a truck full time. I drove full time for 24 years and then got the opportunity to move into the truck shop as a full-time mechanic. I have been with the company for 32 years and learned a lot along the way. It has been a great job and I hope it has been as good for the Crapo family as it has for me.
